My late 1900’s elder millennial heart is so happy having picked this graphic novel up. I wish I had been able to read this as a kid in high school during that time. Make sure you look at the trigger warning in the beginning about unwanted attention before picking this up.

cute read for the spunky weird millennial girl. very nostalgic. tackles a serious issue in the end that seems a bit rushed.

Amazing! So cute, the story was one that I really relate to, the art style was amazing! 10/10 so proud of Kate, as someone who has been a follower since the tumblr days (iykyk)

Historical fiction and the complications of girlhood (the less shiny the better) are a genre I enjoyed growing up; to see it reflected now as an adult (with the time period of my teenagehood being the historical now!) was interesting, and in some ways comforting. The art really helps with the narrative and it's difficult but I hope younger folks can find something in it the way that I found something in books like this in my youth.
