i really enjoyed hearing some of the perspective of the help set in racist/misogynistic 1960’s Mississippi. I loved the relationship Aibileen and Minny had, and the one Aibileen and Skeeter develop, though i would’ve preferred if we saw them bond over something that wasn’t just writing the book. Skeeter felt kind of white knighty at times but i think she becomes self aware for the most part. 

there were a few loose ends with Minny and Aibileen that i would’ve liked to see tied but i think it ended in a good spot regardless. 

Hilly gets very cartooney-villain at the end of the book which i think distracts from the serious topics in it but i think all in all it was all handled pretty well
