When the very fist sentence is “Do exactly as I tell you or I’ll put a bullet in your spine” you know you’re in for a tense ride.
This was fast paced, gripping from the get go and was tense to the end. I really enjoyed finding out more about Eddie and his past life as a hustler and more recently a lawyer which really set up his character for the series.
I was continuously wondering how Eddie was going to save himself and his daughter, and when you think he’s got it something else pops up to ruin his already tight timeline. This really kept me guessing!
Certain parts were a tad far fetched, which pulled me away from the story making it feel less believable, having said that I couldn’t put this down and will be continuing the Eddie Flynn series.

I enjoy Cavanagh's writing style and ability to keep you guessing with the plot.
I enjoy courtroom dramas and a plot with twists and turns leaving you wondering how the protagonist is going to fix it. A bit of a 'heist' thrown in to save the day.
