⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Defence is a razor-sharp,  legal thriller that grabs you from the first page and doesn’t let go. Eddie Flynn is a conman turned lawyer whose wit, charm, and quick thinking make him impossible not to root for.Eddie brings a blend of street-smart cunning and courtroom intelligence that makes him one of the most compelling characters I’ve encountered in a thriller. Cavanagh weaves together courtroom drama, clever twists, and edge of your seat tension with masterful pacing.Eddie is forced into defending a case under life or death circumstances, and the pressure he faces is extraordinary. Cavanagh crafts this scenario with such precision that every scene feels urgent and alive. The courtroom sequences are razor-sharp, filled with clever twists and strategies that keeps you guessing. At the same time, the action outside the courtroom is cinematic, balancing legal drama with nail-biting suspense. An absolutely outstanding debut that sets the bar sky-high for the series.

In short, this is a five-star thriller in every sense. Gripping, intelligent, and full of heartpounding twists, I couldn’t put it down.

DID NOT FINISH

Wrong edition

I usually do not like books about the mob but I did enjoy reading this book about Eddie Flynn. Con man turned lawyer. I have read 2 other books in this series but read them out of order. So it was nice to get some background information on Eddie (and Harry). Most of this book takes place in the courtroom but there is still a lot of action. Eddie is very smart and cunning. I look forward to reading more in this series
