One of the best thriller authors! Such a great read! Has you on edge the whole way through!

Finished my first book for December! ✨️

I finished this one faster than my actual first read this month because it is very hard to put down! Every chapter leaves you hanging and you'll not be at ease unless you read the next chapter.

Eddie Flynn is one badass of a character. He's not dumb, and that's what I need to read right now. A character that thinks and slays every time he talks. The scenes at the court are my most favorite, the way he questions the witness and got them cornered is so ✨️✨️✨️

Will definitely read the next book of this series!

Stupid.....

Characters - stupid
Plot - stupid
Story arc - plodding (and stupid)
Ending - predictable (and stupid)

I persisted to the end because this writer was recommended - stupid decision!

This was a fantastic Eddie Flynn thriller! In fact it’s the first book in the series and boy does it start off with a potential bang!
I love this series and I love a good courtroom drama/legal thriller. My first introduction to Eddie Flynn was back in 2019, when I buddy read Thirteen the fourth book in the series. I had such a great time with it, that it’s become one of my favourites crime series.
In this first book the story is told from Eddie’s point of view, keeping it tense and fast paced.
Just like the other books in the series I was I hooked and read when ever I got the chance. I needed to find out how Eddie and his daughter were going to survive the next 48 hours. It was so tense at times that I had to stop reading and take a breath. I loved the courtroom scenes, even if I didn’t always understand what was going on, because I was skim reading to find out what was going to happen next.
To think that this was the first Eddie Flynn novel is quiet amazing, as it was just as twisty as the later books. I enjoyed discovering Eddie’s backstory and seeing where Judge Harry Ford and The Lizard fit into the later books as well.
I loved this one so much that I went straight into book 2, and will probably continue into book 3.
Highly recommended if you enjoy fast twisty legal thrillers set in New York.
