*deep breath*
Wow... I have a lot to say about this.
First of all, it took like 100 pages for me to get into this book. It was really slow at first, and I expected for it to have WAY more romance.
But when it did get good, it was GREAT.
As I said, a lot of mixed feelings, but 3/5

I REALLY wanted to love this. I really wanted this to be a 5 star book. There was nothing inherently wrong with it... but I was so bored!! I found myself not caring about anything that was happening, and skimming for the last half. And the writing style just really did not click with me. Really disappointed. :( 2.5/5 stars

I really adored this one. I don’t know if I believe in a society divided by bird classes but damn it was a fun ride.

This book was just not for me. I didn’t fall head over heels for any of the characters nor did I even connect with them. The word building is there yet I still found it kind of lacking.

The romance between Fie and Tavin was so out of the blue it felt ridiculous. The entire plot is them on the run. And it just got so monotonous that it was pulling teeth to finish.

I didn’t particularly find Fie to be likable. Or any character for that matter.

The only good thing about this book was how institutional racism is depicted and why it’s such a bad thing.

I was really surprised by this one. This is another YA book with castes but it had a unique enough spin. The crows are the lowest caste and deal with the dead. The world was unique and I was engaged the whole way through.
