I learnt of so many new fascinating things from this book about our brain, our consciousness and who we are because of what we do and see and hear. It is a quick read and a simple one, and unputdownable for all the wonders that it reveals with so much ease.

Really interesting book, full of tidbits that are great conversation starters. Like you can influence a person's actions with electrical brain stimulation, and they believe they're acting of their own free will? So fascinating. The discussion on cryogenics, brain simulations and AI was just so terrifying and intriguing as well. Neuroscience appears to be coming on much faster than I had thought. Will probably have to reread this at some point as there was so much information to take in, I'll not remember it all in one go.
