I’m giving this 4 ⭐️. This is the first time having listened to the audio book, I’ve always rated this book 5 ⭐️, it’s one of my favorites. Kathy Bates did a good job with the narration.

absolutely iconic piece of horror-thriller literature. loved this book, loved hannibal lecter's involvement and every scene he was involved, and i LOOOOOVED clarice starling. while she is a female character written by a man in the '80s, i found myself connecting with her, making her a pretty well written woman in my opinion.
definitely a product of its time, what with all the racism, transphobia, and fatphobia, BUT in trying to look past all that, pretty banger book. i feel like jame gumb is a pretty scary serial killer without all those added social modifiers. what a freak.
