Finally, some answers! I think that this was an excellent conclusion to The Inheritance Games series - it answered so many of the questions that had been raised in the first two books, while introducing and maintaining a new mystery that was still connected. (And I read the whole thing in one day!)
Avery is an engaging character, and I enjoyed getting to read her story from her perspective - and to witness how she developed as a character throughout the three novels. I did find some aspects of the start confusing: things had clearly happened between [b:The Hawthorne Legacy|56182588|The Hawthorne Legacy (The Inheritance Games, #2)|Jennifer Lynn Barnes|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1624983766l/56182588._SY75_.jpg|75512627] and the start of this that were only slowly revealed, but they threw off my reading for a bit.
This was a gripping read in an intriguing series, though I must say that I find the plots a little too easy to forget about.... Still, an engaging read that I can definitely recommend over and over again.
