Finished this book in 3 days - It was a great book and there was a lot more going on than the last one in the series.

I hate to admit it, but I almost enjoyed this one. Still, the first two books are a long haul of subpar mysteries and games with grand setups and no conclusions. They wouldn’t have felt worth it at all had I not finished this book. All of those conclusions came together nicely at the end of this book, and the games were a bit better, but overall I think the whole story could have been concentrated down to one book.

Avery is still residing at the Hawthorn house. Her 18th birthday is on the horizon, which means she’s close to gaining the full Hawthorn legacy. At the conclusion on the previous book, we learned that Toby Hawthorn wasn’t actually dead and that he had a daughter named Eve. Whom he wants to keep away from the hawthorn wealth and power. Toby also took a small disk from Avery, which is brought up at the start of this book because she’s still curious about it. In this story Eve shows up unexpectedly and tells Avery, Toby has been kidnapped. Avery must figure out who has kidnapped Toby before it’s too late. In the course of her mission, she uncovers unsavory secrets about Tobias and how he came to his wealth and power.

Same as the last two books, same puzzles and trials, no more development, boring villains and just too many characters to actually care about

Also why is the mystery of this book finding Toby? When that was literally the mystery of the previous book…

Can I be the first to say, "HELLO PLOT TWIST!"

I love a good book with a plot twist.

What I love more is a good book with a plot twist and a lot of mystery and games.

The way the final book of #theinheritancegamestriology was executed is just perfect!

It picks up a little while after #thehawethronelegacy and we see a significant character growth both at the beginning of the book and as you read on.

We are introduced to more family drama, new characters and are re-aquainted with the growth of the old ones.

I did however feel like the ending (save for the plot twist) could have been a bit better.

However, overall I can confidently rate this series ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who wants to come out of a #readingslump or is looking to read more books like #thehungergames, #percyjackson and #divergent.
