It was easy to get into. I read it fast. Kept me entertained. The entire plot was well thought out, and was interesting.
The only thing is, I have very little emotional attachment with the characters

The first book sort of tied things up, but I wasn’t satisfied with some of the assumptions we were left with, so I’m glad I read the rest of the trilogy. This has a satisfying ending and answers all the questions about why Avery was chosen. The books were all a fun read and well done. I was a little annoyed by the love stories that felt forced and awkward, but they were ok in the end. The writing was good and the story moved along quickly, making it a smooth read. My friend has read all the side books and said they are also fun. I might venture out and read them also. The ending sets us up well for The Grandest Game, but the last book in the trilogy doesn’t come out for a year!

I loved this book.

Plot:

I really liked that it was much darker than the books before because it deals with some heavy subject matter. The mystery of eve was a great plot point that was put in. Having avery question and be on her guard all the time.

The romance was great, I dont like alot of explicit romance and this was perfect for that.

Characters:

Can we talk about how much Jameson wants to change for avery omg I love him

Also grayson realllyyy annoyed me ALOT this book. Yea you are suffering because of what happened to Emily but you cant treat others like the enemy because they are trying to protect you from someone that looks exactly like her who was obviously using you
