BOOOOOO

first of all idk if it’s just bc i was done w this series but the writing is so obviously awful in this. the amount of times she uses the exact same line as some kind of cliffhanger is unbearable. if i have to hear “a very risky gamble” one more time i’m going to lose it. same thing with “the glass ballerina… or the knife” in the previous two. horrible.

the “Hannah the Same Forward as Backwards Foundation”? worst name ever.

the first two were entertaining but for some reason about halfway through this i started to hate it vehemently. just very messy! the author even said IN THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS that she wrote the first two not knowing if there would be a third book… we can tell babe!

i don’t care if jameson lives or dies.

3.5 stars. This book is definitely leading up to a spin-off series and that’s where we’ll at least find out about Jameson’s dad I’d assume? This book: A. Felt like half of it or more was written by someone else? And B. Did Grayson dirty.

They really really fucked up Grayson and his whole character arc that had happened in books 1 & 2. On that note, it also felt like the character of Jameson just became is overly insecure dude; which may be two parts of this book written or at least heavily edited by someone else? Avery too! Ugh girl was so annoying with her back and forth between the two brothers and denying it completely. If Grayson wasn’t all traumatized by Emily, Avery would definitely be with him. Love Xander and Nash, they’re the best. I love Thea and how she is who she is and never denies it. Rebecca, love that she’s coming out of her shadow. Also everyone needs to stop talking about Emily, it’s also getting old.

As for the storyline, it was obvious from the start that Eve would be a snake in the grass. But the actual background and everything was interesting and tied it all together. Some parts felt very quick and glossed over which isn’t like the first two books. But then some parts were just as detailed as were in the first two books. Again, back to my theory of a second writer?

I’m still team Grayson, but I don’t hate the idea of team Jameson. At this point, I don’t think either relationship will actually work since Avery is pretty hung up on both of them. I already know I will be reading the future books relating to this series but I’m hoping that we see the old Grayson, Jameson and Avery.

Oh to be loved by Jameson Winchester Hawthorne.

This was a decent end to the series but I do feel like nothing that happened here was that important? The ending was nice and I liked where all the characters ended up but I feel like a lot of this series cut have been cut and being re shuffled to be a duology
