This book has really made me think and given me a fire in my belly!!
I absolutely love the way the argument is put across - imagining a different political reality to host a discussion around our current failing systems and possible alternatives. It is definitely on the blue-sky thinking end of the practice-ideology spectrum, but provides enough of a possible grounding in reality to really make you think and engage.
I was particularly drawn to the musing over the ability of activist groups to significantly and successfully challenge systems... something to think about going forwards.
Some parts I wasn't so sure on (the conversation around consent seemed possibly a bit problematic, even though I think I get the argument), but using the characters to I imagine bring to light conversations Yanis has with himself was something I really enjoyed and may even try to replicate!
Not sure whether to give this 4 or 5, so 4 for now and may update upon reflection

Interesting regarding what Varoufakis' ideas on a socialist society and how a financial system would work. It is also self-critical in a number of aspects. However, I don't like the more sci-fi aspects and especially that Varoufakis' makes up words that don't make sense and are inconsistent with the existing use of certain words, which is unnecessarily confusing.

Really interesting ideas of an alternative present and who knows, a possible future. The narrative style keeps the hard economics light enough to be digestible without short changing the reader.

As a sci-fi book, this one is certainly lacking.
But in sketching a post-capitalist world it is really astounding.
It's hard to wrap your head around how the world could function without capitalism, but Yanis explains in (sometimes to much) detail how it can function. And what a glorious world it can be.
