This just didn't do it for me. The magic was meh and the characters were too repetitive.

I adore India Holton books, but this was not my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I still really like this book, but the miscommunication trope where they just assume what the other is thinking instead of talking to each other became a little much at points. I am still very excited for book 3 in this series.

Waaaaay to much manic pixie dream girl energy for me. They’re supposed to be university professors, not teenage nitwits. Lampshading the fact that the conflict would have been resolved with a single conversation didn’t help.
