Cristianis a mafia bust who use to people obeying him and doing what he says tell he decide to kinda help Natalia and she more then her wants to deal with.I was on the edge of my seat with the moments i didnt see coming. the narration was good made me feel what the character were feeling which i enjoyed. this 18+check TW
i read this in one sitting because that’s how hooked i was to the story! it was an easy, mindless read, i didn’t really get attached to any of the characters, i guessed the ending correctly but it was an okay read

So I normally love age gab and mafia romance, However this book was not my favorite. The FMC goes to the most powerful crime family and begs for protection from the King himself due to her being his daughters best friend. She then proceeds to act like a child, he demands that she does what he says to make sure she is safe and she throws a fit everytime. Only because she does not like being told what to do, and is use to getting her way. The MMC was great to a point, as he had to be hard and calulating as he is the head of the crime family, however I would have thrown the FMC out of a moving car the way she pouted and acted. If the only way to get protection in the family was for her to marry in I would have liked her to marry the son or one of the body guards. I know that the son has his book coming out but it would have been interesting for his arranged marriage to be put to the side for the sake of the FMC. I am unsure of I will be reading the next book in the series.

SYNOPSIS:
Natalia is best friends with GiGi Marchetti, who’s father is the head of the Marchetti mafia in New York. He’s one of a couple different mafia dons in the area. Natalia shows up at his office one day, GiGi being in Italy with her aunt, and asks for a favor from Cristian. She says she used to date the son of another mafia don, and now he’s obsessed with getting her back, through any means necessary. Vinny has threatened her with harm and even death if she doesn’t return to him. She’s now asking Cristian for help and protection. He tells her she must give him information of the Lombardi’s if he is to protect her. She does, but he then tries to use her as bait for Vinny to get violent, so Cristian will have a reason to kill him since Vinny is a volatile man who is not fit to be successor to the Lombardi mafia. During the negotiation for trading Natalia for money, Cristian goes back on his word to the Lombardi’s and doesn’t trade her off. They return to his home and eventually come to the conclusion that he will marry Natalia since the only way to truly protect her is if she’s part of the family by marriage. Things progress and a sexual relationship develops between them and eventually, feelings. Cristian is shocked to find he’s come to feel something for Nat and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. When she’s kidnapped by Vinny with the help of his right hand man Rocky, who turned rat, he goes on a rampage to find her. He even must kill his thought to be most trusted man for turning on him and putting Natalia in harms way. He gets her back, and kills Vinny in the process. Their marriage still goes through, seeing as they both now love one another. Their ending shows them actually getting married and eventually shows a few months later when Natalia is pregnant.
