I did not expect this!
The first 20 pages are very much focused on how this guy loves his cats - and that's a running theme throughout the book- however it takes a huge turn to the macabre and is very shocking and distressing at points.

Wanted a heart warming domestic story about living with cats, what I got was a traumatic read about the author brutally killing and abusing several cats. No thank you.

a brutally honest prose. it was very sweet and loving for about 30 pages and then it just descended into a borderline horror story riddled with depression and suicidal thoughts. if you want to be a crazy cat lady when you’re 60, don’t read this.
