Really good start, and then it just got stupid. The main character is a complete idiot.

I do love a TM Logan thriller. I've been looking forward to reading this for months, and it didn't disappoint! Master of the slow burn, this story starts slow, but drip feeds enough tantalising bits of information to keep you hooked.
I didn't see the ending coming at all, and thoroughly enjoyed following the story as it unfolded. The writing is always gripping, with short chapters that end of cliff-hangars. While the male MC was average, his devotion and obsession to an old cold case meant for some tense scenes.
Another brilliant book from the master of the up all night thriller!

'Adam and Jess, along with their three children, move into a beautiful new home: a rambling Victorian house in a nice neighbourhood, right at the top of their price range. Then Adam discovers a door hidden behind a fitted wardrobe, concealing a secret room . . .
But like the house, Adam has his secrets too. And soon he will find himself setting in motion a series of events that will place his family in terrible danger . . .'
I listened to this on audio and have to admit I increased the speed on the first quarter as I found the story dragging a little.
I was sucked in by them having Richard Armitage as the narrator. Love his voice.
I am not sure I was invested as much as I have been in other TM Logan books and found some of the things Adam did so unbelievable. The secrets he was keeping from his wife and the trouble this leads to felt a bit forced and a 'we need a reason for him to be home and free to be doing investigating'
The ending redeems the book and i still enjoyed it, will still continue reading TM Logan as other have been great.
