An in-depth look at the business side of the English Premier League. Much more interesting than that sounds like.

An interesting look at the business side of the Premier League. For me, someone who was not initially very familiar with Enlgish football, all the names, locations, and teams were hard to keep track of at times. Overall a good read.
A great book on the ride of the Premier League, probably even better if you’re a big fan of English Football. Filled with interesting anecdotes and behind the scenes info, I found it extremely interesting even with little prior knowledge or interest. It does have a lot of info and introduces many different characters, some of whom are inconsequential, but aside from that a great book.

Can't say enough good about the voice with which this book is delivered. A non-fiction book told with the wit and finesse of a novel. The stories and historical insight on offer is fascinating enough, but the writing is exceptional.

This just made me sad. There were a few really interesting stories, but overall it just made me question if I should actually like the PL. The beginning and ending were interesting, but the middle dragged with story after story of really rich people making the league their plaything.
It was also weird to see the correlations between the calculated movements and my interest in the league. Good for them they got me!
