I almost didn't read this as I wasn't super impressed with the first book. Thank God I did!! It is so good. Here are the explanations to all the things that irritated me in the first book. Actually made me change the rating of that book in respect of the "whys "

I liked this one better than the first. It was still a bit obvious what was going to happen. But I enjoyed the adventure.
