Everything about this duology was wonderful. I thought the author mis-stepped the timing on some critical character growth arc moments. Certain events didn't have the impact I believe she was going for. But these are small gripes. The overall story sucked me in and never let me go.
Even now, I feel depleted of thought now that it's over. My brain keeps hoping there will be more, but alas.

If you’re into dark fantasy romance and the trigger warnings are okay for you, do yourself a favor and read it. Just make sure you have tissues and maybe a comfort blanket nearby.
