“Every person has the power to change their fate if they are brave enough to fight for what they desire more than anything.”

This book was so much fun from start to finish, I found myself always second guessing wondering what was real and what wasn't. This was one of those books that I didn't want to stop reading and when I did have to stop reading I found myself thinking about when I would be able to read next! I am obsessed with the Caraval world and I love how everything was done at night, it made everything more mysterious.

“She imagined loving him would feel like falling in love with darkness, frightening and consuming yet utterly beautiful when the stars came out.”

I probably should start with Scarlett but I need to start with my man Julian! I LOVE Julian. At first I couldn't get a read on him and I thought he may have been Legend because of how much he knew, but then I decided I was being stupid because he was too sweet to be Legend,
only to find out that he is Legends BROTHER. I was so close haha
I cannot stop obsessing over Julian, every time he called her Crimson I swooned, the way he came to care for Scarlett was to sweetest.

I cannot fault anything about Scarlet, she is one of the sweetest and kindest people ever, other than if I were her I would have slapped Tella silly. We watched Scarlett grow so much as a person and I'm here for it. I hope we get to see more of her and Julian in the future, she deserves nothing but the best after what she endured. I also love how protective she is over her sister, being a big sister myself I could relate.

“She remembered thinking falling for him would be like falling in love with darkness, but now she imagined he was more like a starry night: the constellations were always there, constant, magnificent guides against the ever-present black.”

Overall if you cannot tell I absolutely loved this book, the writing, the characters everything about this book I'm obsessed with and I cannot wait to dive more into the world of Caraval.
Once again I wish I read it sooner. Thanks to all my NYGB ladies because without them this would have been sitting on my shelf unread still.

I love this world so much. I love how Scarlet was stubborn but she had her reasons. Tella was impulsive so she had to adapt to protect her. Their relationship had its bumps in the road but in the end it's very sweet 4.75

SPOILER WARNING

JULIAN CALLING HER CRIMSON IS THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER! I don't know why it's so sweet to me but I love it.
