Found the plot to be kinda pick me

This was my first trial into fake dating, but I have read the mutual pining and slow-burn tropes before. At a certain point, though, the mutual pining without confession feels less like slow-burn and more like page filler. Both Nathan and Bree felt very flat to me and I couldn't develop any strong positive feelings about them at all. I just couldn't find myself to care about the "will they/won't they" anymore as it just got repetitive.
