You cannot be in a hurry to finish this book. You have to live with the characters for a long while. It is not always fun, but it is always interesting. Cheers to places where women can be women, and men are incidental. R-MWC 4-EVA.

I loved the horror-adjacent feel of this novel. It was another fun celebrity exposé type read, and very engaging. I didn't love the main characters, but I didn't need to. The story was wonderfully crafted and I would definitely recommend this book.

when they say gothic...they mean
G O T H I C. as in S L O W. lol and i loved it. i laughed out loud too many times to count, and highlighted so many lines throughout the whole beast of a book! Loved that pretty much no one was straight in this book. And I was able to follow the story/the characters for the majority of the tome...until the last 60 pages or so. It lost me. I did think it was too long for what it was trying to convey, and the ending was anti-climactic for me. But the writing is great and SUPER atmospheric, and the dual timelines were handled very well.

way too long, kinda cringe, and a bit all over the place. lots of potential, but would've loved something a bit more succinct and scarier.
