"Blue had never believed in death until then."

"It was impossible to live life backward."

"Ronan, tell me now if I have to leash you, because I will."

The season for school is in. Maura is still gone. Greenmantle has moved to town. Our young adventurers are growing. The dangers are becoming more threatening than a man holding a gun. Ronan wants revenge for his father's death. Adam wants to make everything better, to fix all that is to happen before it does. Blue's heart is tangled and she wants her mom back. Gansey is closer to finding the king, closer to his death.

When I opened up Blue Lily, Lily Blue I had not expected so much to happen. Of course, a great deal as occurred in the previous two books; however, from page one I was put on a roller coaster of events. I am pleased with how the boys and Blue are growing, how well written out main and minor characters are, and the overall plot tying up nicely while still giving surprises. This book without a doubt has earned five stars. Stiefvater, as always, amazes me with her word choice and interesting voice for her books.

Blue and Ronan are by far still my favorite little ravens of the flock. I've decided, besides the fact I relate to the pair, I like them because they belong pretty much to the same personality box and yet occupy different corners. I have also not changed my stand on needing Blue and Gansey together no matter his fate as I believe one of them or all of them can save him. I cannot wait to see where all this leads to in [b:The Raven King|17378527|The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4)|Maggie Stiefvater|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1458745635s/17378527.jpg|24170172] in April. Though I should mention there were some hella cute moments between Adam and Ronan.

I immensely enjoyed this book.

Blue and Maura, Gansey and Blue, Blue and N-
Basically everyone with Blue was hard to handle (in a good way). When she saw Maura in the water I cried, and when they saw Piper and Morris and Gray in the cave and Blue hugged Gray I was crying thinking he was going to die and thought, wait Blue wouldn't leave.

And Gansey's and Blue's phone calls were always so pure and I love its one number away, 665. Malory was funny during the ride when he first came. JESSE I loved him!!!! Persephone :(

I think that's it.

Bye!!!

-Maura don't ever scare me like that again
-It's funny...this one and book 2 feel like they're from two different series and I'm not sure why?
-GANSEY THOUGH.
-It's funny...even though this is technically the story of Gansey's quest the rest of them feel much more like the main characters (except for Noah, who is glorious but definitely a side character.)
-I love Adam so much, I just can't
-Still not feeling Blue/Gansey though...I don't know, it was cute but I'm not feeling the whole "true love" thing.
-Gwen was so creepy beyond words. That whole section with the cave and stuff creeped me out so bad.
-The courtroom scene...just YES YES ALL THE YES.
-The Gray Man has become so excellent.
-Persephone...why
-I'm terrified of the next book because I love this series so much and yet I've heard that one is disappointing and I don't know if I want to read it
-GANSEY.
-AND ADAM
-AND NOAH STOP CREEPING ME OUT LIKE THAT ARGH
-Ronan was such a side character in this one? Like I wish he'd had more POV because I missed him. XD
-And Blue is honestly the flattest one of the bunch (which is okay but I don't know...I don't love her for some reason.)
-JESSE DITTLEY. THAT IS ALL.
-This was just a really good book okay.

”Maybe it was good that the world forgot every lesson, every good and bad memory, every triumph and failure, all of it dying with each generation. Perhaps this cultural amnesia spared them all. Perhaps if they remembered everything, hope would die instead.”

This is the best book in the series. The end.

No but seriously, I’m actually quite amazed with how much I loved Blue Lily, Lily Blue after the train wreck that The Dream Thieves was.

For once, I found myself enjoying most (if not all) the perspectives. Maggie Stiefvater has a way of developing her characters that actually makes you care about them deeply, so of course it was great to see the story unfold from the different point of views.

On that note, let’s talk characters. The amount of character development in this book is outstanding. I think it’s a known fact that I fucking hate Adam Parrish but man did this book make me care about him. And it’s mainly because of how much he’s changed since book one. He’s great. Even Ronan grew on me which was nice.

The one downfall this book had though is how it pushed one of my favorite Raven Boys, Noah, to the back burner. Where was he? He felt more like a plot devise than a character, which is fine, but not great.

Blue and Gansey break my heart every single time. Moving on.

And y’all guess what… we finally got a plot! Oh my god!!!!!

But in all seriousness, I really did love this book. It took me three books but I can finally say I’m into this series. Great. Fantastic. Loving it.

16. A book set in a rural or sparsely populated area

-SPOILERS AHEAD-
This has to be my absolute FAVORITE series at the moment! I love everything in this book! The only thing I will complain about was near the end (like the chapter before the last) things felt weird. Like, Blue had just found her mother and father and yet none of them seemed that excited. Then none of them were freaking out when Piper and the Gray Man showed up. I was just a little confused and a little disappointed with the ending.
But other than that, I am so freaking excited to read the next, and sadly the final, book in the amazing series!
