I did not like the female main character, I thought I could get over it but the book has a slower pace and there are so many chapters written from her perspective, with internalized fat-shaming and her inability to form a close connection with others due to her childhood abandonment issues. It is a bit much of a "woe is me" situation, and her being unable to accept the good things in her life.

Also her saving all these farm animals and wanting to start an animal sanctuary rubs me the wrong way, as I think it is stupid. Especially since she herself eats chicken.

I did not like the female main character.

Internalized fat phobia and obvious mental issues due to her childhood emontional abandonment by her parents. < /spoiler> Also very slight spoiler:

she is not a vegeterian but obsessed with saving all these farm animals because "They have a name!" And as a vegetarian this pisses me off.

It’s a cute romance. Very spicy. I enjoyed it for the most part, but having the niece’s POV made it feel a little confusing and convoluted. It was also a little cheesy and tacky with a lot of internet references that can easily feel outdated.
