Also her saving all these farm animals and wanting to start an animal sanctuary rubs me the wrong way, as I think it is stupid. Especially since she herself eats chicken.
Graphic: Animal death and Abandonment
Moderate: Body shaming and Fatphobia
Minor: Death of parent
I did not like the female main character.bekacrook's review against another edition

Loved the setting of the mountain and the small town. I enjoyed the closeness of Wyatt and his family and how grateful and appreciative they were of their relationships. I also liked how this extended to Trista.
Trista was an interesting character, she didn't have the best childhood which resulted in her pushing people away and being fiercely independent. She really deserved to be taken care of and looked after even if she didn't quite know how to accept it. She had some odd moments, and I didn't love her referring to herself as "I'm just a cow" so frequently but it made sense in the context. Also, although I loved that Wyatt ended up loving the animals, it did feel a little disrespectful to bring so many animals onto someone else's land without their prior knowledge or agreement but just a small little gripe.
Wyatt, bless him, was a man I loved in the book but would probably hate in real life. He was possessive and a little domineering with how much he cared and tried to take care of Trista but damn did he truly take care of her. She could literally want for nothing. He hid it beneath a slightly gruff exterior but man, he was so soft and loved so hard.
Lots of talk of pregnancy and Wyatt borderline had a breeding kink but their journey was interesting and non-conventional and the pregnancy was key to their and the story development. Honestly ended up really enjoying this book.
Moderate: Pregnancy
Minor: Abandonment
