Very disturbing and definitely over the moral boundaries that a love interest should have.

I almost did not finish this one, as I felt the plot was painfully slow at times. Also, for most of the book, I could not for the life of me enjoy Pestilence as a character.

I know this is enemies to lovers but it never really felt that way to me. I couldn’t figure out a way that Sarah could possibly fall in love with Pestilence after he DRAGGED HER BEHIND HIS HORSE?!! Like, that’s a bit much for me. Also, I’m not a huge fan of female leads who *aren’t like other girls*.

Sarah’s character really just did not vibe with me overall. I’ve read this whole series now and this is by far my least favorite. I do think they get better as you go on though.

DNF at 20%, could not get on with the writing style at all.

such great writing! Awesome characters. You don’t know who to cheer for so you cheer for both!

First if all, it’s fiction. It’s premise is dark. If you can’t push past that, this probably isn’t the story for you.

At it’s core, two people that are out to kill each other fall in love with each other. They hurt each other (and I mean HURT each other) but there is an HEA, such that it is.

This book is well written and thought out. It kept me in suspense and I had no idea how the main characters could survive.

I’m ready for book 2!!

I just re-read this for my book club. I completely forgot how f-ed up the book starts, and how much I absolutely loved this series.

I'm the first person to raise pitch forks when reviewing romance books but in this case,
