I found this because I was specifically looking for a lesbian vampire romance book and this one had the least smutty looking cover. It was super fun and I had a good time but I also skipped over the sex scenes, so if that’s what you’re going into it for I can’t report back sorry.

4 stars. This was a lot of fun. Robin is a vampire and she wants to go on a diet and not drink human blood anymore so she joins AA. There she meets Alana who has been sober for eighteen months and begins to sponsor Robin. She also is more than she seems. This was such a fast paced and very entertaining read. It gave me the vibes of older urban fantasy romances from the early 2000s and I mean that in the best way possible.

I’m a big fan of Jae. She’s one of my favorite author’s and I think she and Grey did really well on this. I’m not familiar (I don’t think) with Grey’s writing style but it blended seamlessly with Jae’s. The humor was great and it was paced well. There was definitely some depth here as well as we watch Robin really struggle against her desire to drink blood. She also is having some trouble with her coven because of her decision. Alana is there to help her every step of the way which I loved. Those two were great for each other and I loved how they worked through their issues so there is no third act breakup.

Overall, this was awesome and I can definitely see myself re-reading it because it has such a cozy vibe to it and it seriously put me in a good mood.

Fun story. I really had a good time with this story. Well thought out.

What does the world need today you ask. I'm going to tell you. It's this light hearted, fun with a dash of heat tale of a vampire's foray into breaking her addiction to o negative blood. Our vampire Robin decides to join AA for answers and finds a sponsor, Alana who leaves them both tingling. Their journey to each other includes disapproving family and dealing with AA 12 step program. It's not angsty as a story like this could be and that is what I like about this book. 5 stars for highly entertaining and well written fun.

3.5 Rounded to 4.
For the length, I really need something to start (not instalove or sex) like a kiss before the 60% mark? It was a lot of back and forth scenes. It was a little frustrating because they are both mythical beings but neither one could tell something was off? I understand they were enamored with each other and they really were a cute couple. I'm glad it didn't end in a cliffhanger!
