This book felt a little disjointed from the first two but that could have just been me having had to wait for the third book to come out but some of the "strong ties" between the characters just felt less relaatic and believable after stepping away and coming back. That said, the plot still remained unique and interesting and I enjoyed the relationship and tension between the main characters.

I enjoyed this series and this was a solid final book to the series. I enjoyed the tension and the internal conflict around our FMC's loyalties.
I don't think there was anything remarkable about this book, but I enjoyed reading it and it was one of those conclusions that leave you satisfied.
The only predominant thought I had was that I wished I didn't have to wait for book 3 because I felt like the time between books made it less interesting to me than it would have been had I been able to binge all the books at once.
Having said that, it was a fun series and I'm glad I read it.

A great end to this series that was solid from start to finish! Especially loved the relationship between Nia and Talan this book because of the secrets they're both hiding 💖

Series as a whole is like 4.25-4.5⭐️ book 3 was like 3⭐️ I diddd really enjoy this whole series. It actually made me smile I bunch of times, wasn’t expecting the dry humor to be snuck in there through out.
My issue was book 3.. I was expecting everything to be explained and scorching heat after all that tension. As far as heat, we get ONE rushed scene. Just a lot of build up and not much payoff. As far as explanations, what even is the role of the lady of the lake? Keep the peace? Not sure but they hyped it up like this would be a pivotal and it really wasn’t. Just some super boost for a few minutes when she’s overwhelmed lol.
Poor Raphael, I mean this guy got SHAFTED. For how much they loved and pined after each other they sure as hell buried their romance as soon as he ‘dumped’ her. But he stayed loyal through out and went through hell, where’s his HEA? I guess he’s running the place and potentially shacking it up with Nivene but idk that storyline didn’t feel right.
Where’s King Auberon? He clearly portalled out, where he go? Is Merlin alive in a tree? Why could Talan and Nia hear each others thoughts? Are they fated mates er sumthin?
I like the pacing until the last like 25% then it all went haywire and it was rushed. Again, still had a fun time reading this. I thought Nia was great, I loved that she had asthma because it made her feel more real. Also loved that King Mordred got his dinner party and a pompous little kingdom to rule over

The ending felt rushed and also jumped around a little, but overall, I think it was the best of the 3 books!
