So much deceit and so many schemes, I’m here for it. We start where we left off in book two and my biggest question was ‘are they really going to?’ And ‘how is Nia going to get out of it this time?’ All answered and I was really happy with the outcome. I was very excited to see all the lies pile up and finally come out. I low key expected Talon to be like “yup I knew all along” and yes he had his suspicions but he totally hope for the best there. I liked how it tied up at the end, I only hoped I could get more Nia and Talon content (you know when they are not lying to each other) solid 4 mostly because of our main characters and the big plot scheme

Great concluding book to the series. This was everything I wanted it to be.
I squealed, I kicked my feet, I gasped, I threw my arms in the air in both glory and dispair.
There were some surprises thrown in. Ultimately the payoff for the series was highly satisfying for me.

An absolutely perfect ending to a stunning fantasy romance trilogy, Lady of the Lake delivered everything I could’ve hoped for and then some. It was magical, adventurous, and totally unputdownable. From the very first page, I was swept into a world dripping with atmosphere: eerie forests, haunting castles, ancient magic, and secrets just waiting to surface (actually I was begging them surface).
C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers have truly outdone themselves with this finale. The world-building is lush and immersive, the Arthurian elements are woven in with clever, modern flair, and the story feels both timeless and fresh. This book had me absolutely hooked with its non-stop action, jaw-dropping betrayals, and reveals that made me audibly gasp. And the banter? The Absolute best. It was sharp, flirty, and perfectly balanced the darker, high-stakes moments. Plus, the slowburn-to-spice payoff? Worth every second of the wait. This romance had my heart doing flips.
I truly loved the direction this trilogy took. Each book raised the stakes and deepened the world, and Lady of the Lake delivered a finale that felt both satisfying and unforgettable. It’s often difficult to find a series that gets better with every book, and this one absolutely did that. If you’re looking for a fantasy romance series that blends legend with modern magic and wraps it all in wit, romance, and power, this is it.
“Since when did you give a fuck about the gods? The only god you need to worship is me.”
Picture the scene: you’re fresh off the battlefield, watching your allies die and the hot fae you’ve come to like-love-hate-whatever is killing your people while riding a dragon, and you’re racing back to his castle to make sure he doesn’t suspect you of being a spy. Well, bebe, he’s gonna surprise you another way when you sneak back.

"But have no fear—when you are my wife, she won’t be able to lay a finger on you. Anyone who so much as looks in your direction without my permission will beg for death before I’m done with them.”
Wellllll, this was fun
I’m afraid I’ll like fucking the enemy so much, I’ll destroy the entire mission.
This picks up right where we left off at the end of book 2, with Talon basically ordering Nia to marry him lmao. This one was full of scheming, dragons, spice, family, heartbreak, and OUTRAGE at the Pendragons - omg I was so outraged guys lol
I find that the best thing, really, for a post-breakup emotional spiral is a near-death experience.
Nia was once again a queen. She let no one get away with anything and did what she needed to do *clap* Talon was perfection, no notes.
Am I a spy or a prisoner who’s completely lost control of my mission? As an undercover agent, I should be a manipulator, a puppeteer, influencing those around me to work for my agenda. Instead, I’m fleeing from a fucking basilisk so I can marry a man I’ve kissed once, a man I’m also trying to kill. Worst game of Kiss, Marry, Kill ever.
Thank you to the authors for this eARC!! But also because I was so sad I missed the ARC sign-up that I messaged Christine to say I was sad and she sent it to me anyway and I love her now
