This book is the perfect ending to a beautiful story filled with lore and mystery and love. I cried and gasped and laughed and I am beyond happy that future books in the same world are in the works! There were surprises and twists and things that didn't happen that I thought would and things that never occurred to me that happened and every page was perfect! This whole series is amazing!

The Startling Conclusion… Really, Was There Any Other Way This Story Could End!?!

I don’t think I can ever truly describe how this book, and this entire series, has affected me. I truly hope that everyone reads this and feels the magic that Crawford and Rivers have created. I don’t want the accept the truth that this series has come to an end. These characters feel like my found family and I want to stay where they are… Lady of the Lake by C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers is nothing short of a masterpiece, a work of art. There is espionage, war, Fey, Demi-Fey, Humans, friendship, alliances, and, of course, there’s love, but where there’s love, there’s also heartbreak, pain, and grief. I was not emotionally prepared for the shocking twist that comes from this narrative, but only in the best way possible. It really was the only way that everything could work, right? I thought the first book, Avalon Tower, in the Fey Academy for Spies series would be my favorite, but Lady of the Lake took all my expectations and made them explode and travel to a whole different stratosphere. We lost Viviane in Vale of Dreams in the most heartbreaking way, which is touched on in this book. Nia, our brave and sassy heroine, has to choose her path very carefully in this narrative. Will she finally choose to listen to herself, or will she continue to blindly continue to listen to everyone else’s rhetoric? Raphael, Tana, Darius, Serana, Nivene, Talan, Sir Kay, and Wrythe all join in again in this story. Who helps Nia? Who turns their back? Do we lose another beloved character in Lady of the Lake? If so, which one will it be? Who does Nia choose in the end? I am emotionally drained after reading this final book in the series. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I screamed… I went through the entire gambit of emotions while reading this book. I am completely shattered right now. How am I supposed to be okay after this? These characters are forever ingrained into my soul and I will carry them with me always. Crawford and Rivers have created this beautiful world and I feel truly grateful for the opportunity to be able to have read and experienced it. Together they gave us an incredible world- building experience, wonderful characters with so much depth and life, and a plot that deserves to be shared and celebrated. This is truly a wonderful book and I am better for having read it.

This is the first series where I wish it was another book longer. I think I could have used a full book to really capture the romance between our Dream Walker and Nia. It felt like it went from “I hate you” to “I will burn the world for you” with very little explanation of how.

This kind of felt like just action after stressful action scene so while I enjoyed it, I didn’t like it as much as the first two in this series. It took way too long for all the betrayal and distrust to be resolved, especially since we spent a lot of the second book going through that.
