I like the concept and the story but eventually i wasnt a fan of the romance part, i think its because i fell inlove with Raphael and I just was hoping they’d get back together. Talan just didnt caputure it for me idk why hahahah but yeah im glad i finished the book. Im happy for the other characters end except for Serana. That was rude... lol

The first 2/3 were so good and then the ending just fell flat, the chemistry died and everything was solved too quickly. Felt like my essays when I’m running to close to the deadline

I really enjoyed the continued development of Nia and Talan’s relationship—watching them slowly learn to trust each other after all the secrets between them felt earned and emotionally satisfying. Their individual growth was a highlight of the story, and the shift from Raphael to Talan as the primary love interest felt like the right move; their connection is much more compelling. That said, the nature of their bond—especially the telepathic link—still felt underexplored. I was hoping for a deeper explanation or more payoff, and it left things feeling slightly unfinished.

The final quarter of the book felt rushed. The pacing of the last battle was jarring compared to the rest of the series, and the resolution came too quickly, leaving several threads dangling. I was particularly disappointed that Nia’s evolving relationship with her parents—especially her mother’s situation at the Towers and the dynamic with her father—was barely addressed.

Despite those shortcomings, this was a great series overall. I loved the magic system, the plot twists, and the emotional arcs. I just wish the conclusion had been given the same care and detail as the rest of the story. A solid ending, but not quite the send-off the series deserved.
