The only reason I rated it even as high as I did was because it was mysterious enough to keep me interested, but I didn't really like the book that much. I didn't find the characters likeable, there were plot devices that seemed pointless because they added nothing to the plot, and the ending was very unsatisfying

I enjoyed this but there were parts that dragged for me and the ending got to be a bit confusing. Definitely not what I would call a thriller but not bad either. I probably had too high of hopes for this after You, which isn't fair.

I was so worried that I may not like this book. I’ve never read Lovecraft. I’m not much into supernatural stories. I think this is more of a love story than anything else. I LOVED this book. My heart is broken. Kepnes is by far my favorite author.
