A very now and easy read in between The Big Novels and with much to consider about how we use or not use libraries.

A rather mixed bag of essays, stories and memoir pieces. I enjoyed the contributions from Stephen Fry, Caitlin Moran, Lionel Shriver, Ann Cleeves and Val McDermid.
I might lend it to Michael Ellis. (Google him)

If I ever needed further proof that I've chosen the right career path, this is the book to give me that. I found the short tales of sanctuary and learning not only inspiring but reassuring, that even people who rise to prominence haven't forgotten the importance of their library experiences growing up.

It's British, so there were a few references I missed here and there. But awesome essays overall.

It's always fun to read essays by people who love books about how much they love books. I've been going to the library at least once a week since I was a child, so I can totally relate to the message behind this book.

Every country should have its Library Book. Every country should promote libraries. Thank you to the people who wrote and edited this wonderful book. I loved reading it. It reminded me exactly why I want to be a librarian. And a big thank you to Seth Godin for that wonderful ode to librarians ❤️

I never know what to expect when I pick up a collection like this. In this case, I was pleasantly surprised. This was a lot of fun and a very cozy read.

Pretty much preaching to the converted, but still enjoyable to read some tracts on library love.
