I was slightly thrown off having seen this recommended as ace visibility and then having very spicy scenes, but I do love some demi representation. The romance itself was a little insta-love but I liked the real-world struggles both characters were experiencing.

Gah! I loved this!
Dealing with grief is never an easy topic. Reading about Thad & Levi, and even Levi’s mom, grief was...real. I loved these characters and found myself smiling more than once. This book is definitely the best of the series.

I did the audiobook version. I don't read a lot of stories or whatever involving hiking so that was slightly strange.
But yeah, honestly I never caught on to how thad looked. I guessed from online search results that it was a blond dude, but I also thought he'd be a black dude so IDK.
It was cool tho. Grief-filled, but comparable to doctor Zhivago considering speed, travel, different settings. Doublespeed it was about 3h10m.
But yeah, it was beautiful in the sense that "Rolling Waves" by The Naked And Famous is beautiful. I liked this pairing. I was like Levi too.
This was a good book. IDK if I could've finished it tho in text form because the grief is strong.

Likable and easy and enjoyable. Some implausible things happen, but all in all, I enjoyed this. Levi's loud and garrulous and Thad's quiet and reserved and they find each other in the woods. I liked that Thad's demisexual and it's discussed on the page, though it's a fairly quick moment. I loved the first book in this series and I really connected with it, but the subsequent books haven't affected me in the same way. They've all been enjoyable, but haven't grabbed me, but then again, I'm not a big reader of novel-length contemporary romance, and it's rare to find one that's really special to me. I've enjoyed several of Megan Erickson's books now and I'll definitely keep an eye on her.

Gah, Megan Erickson writes the best words. I'm learning that I really like broody characters, so I really loved Thad. The dynamic between him and Levi is perfect.
