Nicht das beste Buch aller Zeiten, es has mich nicht total gepackt aber ich mochte die Geschichte und werde vielleicht in Zukunft einen weiteren Roman von dem Autor lesen.

Dieses Buch war eine wunderschöne und poetisch geschriebene Reise. Arenz Schreibstil lässt Emotionen und die Natur durch Metaphern verschmelzen, was perfekt zu der Art Sommer passt, die dieses Buch beschreibt. Ein großartiger Sommerroman!
Minimal gestört hat mich der Twist mit der Psychose eines der Protagonisten. Nicht weil sie nicht plausibel war, sondern weil ich nicht davon ausgegangen bin, dass sich das Buch in diese Richtung entwickelt und es dadurch kurz die sommerliche Atmosphäre verloren geht. Umso beeindruckender ist es, wie Arenz es schafft, diesen Erzählstrang befriedigend abzuschließen und so zu der sommerlichen Atmosphäre zurückfindet.
