Of the Virginia Woolf novels I have read so far, none has been as poetic and beautiful as The Waves. It often folds in on itself, as waves do, gently lapping at the shores of my mind before flowing back out.
This is not an easy book to read, with Woolf's classic stream of consciousness on full display here. I would be lying if I said that I didn't have to reread passages now and again. That being said, it remains one of my absolute favorites of all time.
