“We have destroyed something by our presence,” said Bernard, “a world perhaps.”

Once you understand the unique writing style, it'll get better. The prose are so beautiful i cant help but almost underlined everything. The characters are very fascinating to me, love how the narrative switch up between them and how we learned of them from each other's perspective though the transitions sometimes got all over the place. I feel like Bernard, Neville, Louis, Jinny, Susan and Rhonda sort of represented parts of us in some ways. Not gonna lie, this book required 100% of my concentration or ill be lost. This book honestly hits harder if you're in a euphoric state if you know what i mean...

God I love Virginia Woolf so much. I think I’m really beginning to understand what she means with the language she uses. This book is so uniquely beautiful and I will always be so impressed with her way of capturing life as it’s LIVED, not just as it’s usually narrativized in literature.

A difficult book to read In my opinion, especially if you only read a little bit at a time. Beautiful and lyrical it is poesy before anything else and makes one reflect on the passage of time.
