It annoyed me in the beginning but once the mystery got going it became more fun. I can see why kids like it! its both funny and original.

It's really difficult to put an age on this book, simply because it is written in a childish and humorous way, yet contains a feast of expletives, and a plot line based on salmonella! I'm tempted to put it at 10-12 for these reasons, but the rest of the plot appears to be quite simplistic, and would be more suited to 8-9 year olds.
Personally, I quite enjoyed it, it was sufficiently dark and sinister.
