Another super enjoyable why choose from Emily. In the past, this has not been my favorite genre, but Emily has a way of writing characters that makes these scenarios believable and HOT! I seriously hope she writes more in the is world, because I love it, and will continue to gobble up every thing she put out.

So sad that the Second Sons series is over. I really liked the character development in this one. If you loved the main characters in the first one, don’t worry they’re throughout this one as well - filled to the brim with their banter and drama.

Favorite non-spoiler quote: “Home is where the heart finds rest.”

I was eager to start Alcott Hall after reading the second sons duet with Rosalie and her men. I was so excited this was about madeline. She was so quiet and mild in the first books so ans now it's her journey. You soon realize she can not live that anymore. She has to marry quickly in order to receive a secret inheritance her aunt gave her. Madeline returns to Alcott Hall to her sear friends for their help. I will say I remember Mr. Bray, but we knew nothing about him but Mr John Warren! Wow, wow, wow, this is like thrbmore alpha male Bourke. They way he commands anything he covets is so hot. He also communicates . I can't get over him. John and Charles have known each other since they were young. This love story took me by surprise, and I loved the way John and Charles are, and I loved Madeline Naiveness. Emily can write some sexy scenes. And of course you see the Corbins again which made me so  happy.

Wow, what a ride! It’s like I’ve just jumped down a new roller coaster, breathless and elated. When I started this book Emily Rath was a new author to me and I hadn’t read the previous books of this series, so I was a little wary of what to expect. But then I was sucked into the story and couldn’t put the book down. The steamy scenes are gorgeous, but very, very emotional. And these three people who learn to love each other and defy conventions are three astounding characters, each in their own right. I loved the author’s writing style and I can’t wait to read more of her!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an ARC of this book in return for a fair review.

Never mind me, I'm just here to swoon. This was a fantastic return to the world we met in the Beautiful Things duology, and had all the spice and angst you could want in the world. In my perfect world, the book would have been longer and we would have had more of a slow burn to love between the characters, particularly in between the heroine and the heros (there's a smidge of instalove here), but that's a personal preference on my part. All in, Emily Rath has pretty much earned a spot on my insta-buy list.
