I. Could. Not. Put. This. Down.
Loved every minute of this book. Emily has the ability to weave her characters together so beautifully.
The dynamics were set up so perfectly. Second chance for two of them and new love with the other.
Madeline is forced to flee her toxic family to take control of her life. She needs a husband. Fast. Or she’ll lose out of having a say in her own life.
Charles is back at Finchley to see his dying uncle. Back in the town he ran from…near the love he ran from.
Warren is done with being left. Done with not being chosen.
The push and pull between these characters was so good.

Clutching my pearls, giggling, kicking my feet. Hell yea why NOT read about a regency era polycule???
(Did we learn about his scar? Figure out what happened with her family drama? No! And tbh who cares, happy for them)
Moderate: Death of parent, Pregnancy

Horacio Burke and John Warren are the loves of my life.

I’m giving this book a 3.75. While I really enjoyed it there are a quiet a few things that are keeping this from being a 4
I liked the setting all the characters and the overall plot, I would recommend this as a read but there are some issues.
My major issue is that the book recycles the same conflicts a few times in the middle portion before rushing through a lot in the last 20%. The various conflicts in the last 20% could have been spaced out throughout the middle giving more of a sense of progression. As it is now it feels stagnant.
My other big issue is the inconsistency with the throuple. I’m super happy that they are a throuple and I like their dynamic a lot. It just seems like the book itself forgets that mainly where Warren is concerned. He’ll pair off with one of the other two and the pair will forget the third exists.

I *loved* this book. I wasn't sure how I would feel going into book 3 and having new main characters, but Madeline was fantastic, and so were Warren and Charles. I loved Madeline's character and her growth throughout the book. I loved the guys. I loved the romantic development between everyone. The plot was fun. Seeing the interaction of the new characters with the old characters was great. This was fantastic, and I devoured it in a day.

This was the same story, different font, except it was about a trio, not a quartet. I found myself bored, if only because it was almost exactly more of the same. 2.5 stars for the wolfstar undertones.
4!
Loved and delighted in this book. How does it feel to live my dream Madeline??
