unbelievably good. if i start i won't be able to stop. inspiring for my scholarship and my drag. some of the most direct articulations of critical theoretical concepts relevant to drag i've seen, plus some very necessary interventions into the scholarly field around drag informed by a performer's perspective.

Funny, informative, thought provoking! I came across this book just a few days after discussing with my partner how I could never get into Drag Race due to being uncomfortable with how the queens who aren't skinny and perfectly feminine are treated, so it was perfect timing and echoed a lot of my thoughts and feelings while giving me even more perspective into the topic.

Absolutely amazing! A very fun read and an accessible academic text! Everyone who enjoys watching or performing drag should read in order to better understand the art form and their relationship with it through the matrices of gender, race, sexuality, and nationality
