Be cautious about the content warnings of this series. It’s dark and rapey at times. Although it feels sexier and less rapey than other books by this author.
I think this is the most enjoyable book by LV Lane that I’ve read so far. Much much more enjoyable than the prequel “omega awakening”. I can imagine revisiting this book again in future.
There could have been more plot and fewer paragraphs of inner narrative. I wanted more neutral scenes of the main couple. And more of the world and mystery of why Eloise had the intel she’s had.
The ending is inadequate and puzzling. Some of the pacing was off. And I’d like some explanation of what happened to the MMC. For a moment i thought she’d had a dream and this coda encounter of dejavu dialogue was her dream state. Or maybe she was living in a constructed hallucination.

This wasn't for me - I wanted to enjoy it, but it felt like the ideas were all quite underdeveloped - it wasn't clear why Eloise had been told lies about the mission they were going on, and the love story felt weak. There were also details that were missed (she's made to read a book about 'Investing', but later says she doesn't know anything about it?), which was frustrating. A quick read, but ultimately not one that makes me want to continue with the series.
