I have so many thoughts on this book as i was reading it. I am glad it ended quite well for Moll Flanders.
It is about this woman known as Moll Flanders, her story started when she was a kid. She is very pretty and that fact has brought her a great missfortune in life. She first was separated from her mother whose later she didnt know of her whereabout. As life goes on, she did a few odd jobs to keep her living, met a lot of people, got married several times at different places, birth a few children, and she finally got settled in a place where she can call home.
I really love the ending despite all the bad things she had done for the sake of bringing something into her plate, but also at the same time fall to liking those things as well.
It is more to 3.5 stars for me.

Can’t remember much about. She was some Tyne of hooker and I also remember this is is one of the actual first novels written. Actually as I was writing this I remembered as big portion of the book. I remember this was one of the first books I liked in high school. Therefore, I’m changing my rating from 2 to 4 because Moll was a fun girl, and I both respect & enjoyed her journey in that 18th ish century.
P.S this was the first book read in Portnoy’s class.

This book was very disappointing to me after having heard so many great things about Daniel Defoe and hearing all of the women writers of the same time compared to him. Frankly, this book was just not as entertaining for me as the other novels of the time written by women. The story, perhaps because the narrator was looking back rather than in the moment, did not convey a lot of emotion, and it was very difficult as a reader to connect with the character.

School sucks. Hope to give this another chance when I have more time.
Remarkably dull and boring -this novel went on and on with useless adjectives that ambled aimlessly, to the point my mind seemed to go on auto-pilot.
