This book was so freaking good. The twist at the end was insane. I really hope there’s another book because I need to see what happens next.

2.5?

I have thoughts but none of them are fully coherent. I liked the first 150 or so pages! And then we got to the magic school part where almost everything had to be compared to HP... I kind of got lost but kept reading. Nice writing though, I liked that

So good! Manu and her mother are undocumented immigrants living in Miami. They are on the run from their family in Argentina, where Manu is also illegal. I loved Manu and all the discoveries she makes along the way, about herself and her family. The author explores so many themes in this YA book, I couldn't put it down. I also can't wait for the sequel. This is the feminist werewolf fantasy we were looking for!
