5 stars! I really enjoyed learning about Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple. This book was also really well written, and made the story of his life fascinating. When I read this book, I was somewhat shocked. Steve Job's childhood, life, and the way he acted was not at ALL what I expected because as the founder of apple and with the genius technological mind that he has you would think that through all his life he worked hard and was always sophisticated! But nope. Steve Jobs was the opposite kind of man that I thought he would be! I loved the way this book was written as well as it's story! It tells about Steve Jobs from before he was born on February 24, 1955 to the day he died on October 5, 2011. Read this book!

The fact that Karen Blumenthal is a "critically acclaimed" writer and journalist mystifies me. This biography felt like it was written by a child who heard about Steve Jobs from a friend of a friend. Anyone who cares to know about the life of Jobs should read Walter Issacson's book instead of this nonsense.
Steve Jobs biography for YAs. I reserved this from the library by accident, but decided to read it anyway. I found it engaging and honest.
Even I had already read the Walter Isaacson’s book, this book refreshed a lot of that and in a easy manner. I am an unashamed Apple fanboy and do worship Jobs for all that he did and gave us. The book is a nice and easy read.

I don't find biographies to be particularly exciting, so this book wasn't my favorite. Also, Jobs was kind of a weird guy and could be really mean, so that didn't help, either.
And the Grammar Nazi in me wants to point out that this book should be called The Man Who Thought Differently. Seriously, would it have been that hard to use an adverb in the title? I get it that "Think Different" was Jobs's suggestion for an Apple motto, but it still bugs me.
All in all, this book was a good description of Jobs's life. He was a jerk, though, so I would not have wanted to work for him, and I don't particularly want to read about him again.
