Just as precious of a hug as it was promised to be. I feel like I'm wearing the softest of sweaters after reading this, and will probably have a smile on my face all night.

this is going up there in my favorite books of all time. i absolutely loved it and kept wishing it would never end. the characters are wonderful— diverse, fully fledged and terribly easy to love. those charismatic little witches had my heart in an instant. (i tend to be a sucker for the found family trope and this book was no exception.) the story and writing are beautifully thought out and heartfelt. and the setting… full of unmatched charm, life and color (please imagine a dreadfully romantic sigh here). i listened to the audiobook and will absolutely be buying myself a physical copy.

This book is so powerful and really takes you for a ride.

*spoiler ahead*

Mika had a rough life, and the last thing she wanted was the same thing happening to those three girls. I enjoyed how different each of them were, especially the bad apple, Terracotta, who drove me crazy, but that’s what made this book so fun.
I loved every single character, loved the twist(s) at the end. Everything fell into place and it was written beautifully.
I only wish I read this in the fall. This is the perfect book to cuddle up in, with a hot chocolate or something.
