I enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the outlook on life from another set of eyes, or a few rather. however, I do wish we got to see more of the older timelines from maria isabel or cecilia.

A sad, meandering family saga I read for a book club. I felt it was disjointed and the characterisation was thin, but the sense of place and the poetic turns of phrase were lovely.
