I have been loving the story line so far and seeing the characters grow. The only reason it's not 5 stars. Is the title page in one of the chapters is very fanservice heavy.

I'm a sex averse asexual so I stay away from spicy contect and fanservice contect. This page was so out of the norm for the story line and the type of story telling it really yanked me out of enjoying it for the last bit. Hoping the last book doesn't ruin the series for me. So far so good though.

I find the argument about perspective interesting. I do argue that homophobia is bad; some things do have moral right and wrong like genocide is bad, homophobia is bad, etc, but I think it’s interesting how there’s a lot of talk about perspective and history. But yes homophobia is BAD

Chapter 48 was so sweet.

Other than that, I felt like Seiya’s lecture went on way too long, and I don’t like the reasoning Kaito gave for Kensuke’s homophobia (while I’m sure this happens, it also perpetuates the narrative of queer folks being pedophiles and sexual predators). Shingo’s arguments also are arguments that bigots make to perpetuate their toxic perspectives that put marginalized folks in danger, so I don’t agree, and I worry about putting these words out there for young folks to read. Also, it is clear that the solution is polyamory or relationship anarchy, but I doubt that’s the way the story is going…

pain! 

probably the heaviest volume so far and i feel a little conflicted about how much was packed into these chapters. feels wrong to give this any less than 4 stars though so

that entire conversation with shingo, kensuke, and the two other girls was A Lot. i think it could've been executed better given the topics discussed. while i sympathize with what kensuke went through, i still think many of the things he was saying were just...Not It.
