A great part of the series. Religious themes are more heavily introduced. Guts has some very insightful moments (yet replaces anger with anger it seems). Working up to an eclipse-like vent. Can't wait to read the next entry!

As Guts leaves the past behind Berserk shifts its focus from personal to political, the fallout of singular actors now cascading into reactions by massive social bodies, creating a complex framework of complex motive - Holy knights hunt a black swordsman, scapegoating Guts for social sicknesses long building in pressure. Miura moves beyond the central cast and takes us to a whole new world, yet it remains ideologically consistent with what came in prior volumes, expanding the scope of what Berserk is about with grace.
